These DIY "Basic Skills" include experience using powered drills / drivers, familiarity with fastener types including hex head lag bolts and concrete anchors (Tapcon®, etc.) where required.

Minimum tool requirements include a battery or electric powered 3/8" drill / driver, drill bits, stud finder, level, sturdy stepladder, and ratchet or open end wrenches, etc.

You may wish to acquire the assistance of a local Handyman or qualified friend or relative to assist in installing hurricane panels over patio doors or windows.
