Panel Channels® Kit for glass doors - patio door or French doors:

1.  Install Top "Upper" Panel Channel® Track above Patio Door Opening.  (Detailed Step-by-Step instructions are included in all kits and are available for downloading as a pdf document below)
    

2.  Install Deck Mount "Kick Up" hurricane panel support base plate (holes provided), directly below upper track, using lag bolts for wooden surface, Tapcon®or other concrete fasteners for concrete surface, following Step-by-Step Instructions provided. (Base plates and upper tracks are sized for six (6) foot wide patio or French type door openings)
   

3.  Purchase, Size, and Waterproof two (2) or more Hurricane Panels.  (Optimum results will be achieved with two (2) 3' wide panels or one (1) 2' wide panel and one (1) 4' wide panel)  Use a circular saw to cut "peep holes" if desired.
   

4.  Insert top edge of hurricane panel into upper Panel Channel® track.  Push lower edge of hurricane panel against beveled front edge of "Kick Up" base plate.  Nudge or kick bottom of hurricane panel up the beveled edge and onto the hurricane panel support surface, and firmly against the vertical attachment risers. (Exclusive, No Need to Lift Hurricane Panel's Weight!)
   

5.  Drill 5/16" clearance holes in hurricane panel for the included 5/16" lag bolts, using the "locator dimples" in the base plate provided to determine where to drill clearance holes.
   

6.  Drill 7/32" pilot holes in the risers behind the hurricane panel, using the clearance holes as templates, prior to attaching hurricane panels to base plate risers.
   

7.  Insert and tighten the provided 5/16" galvanized lag bolts and washers, securing the hurricane panels to the base plate risers.  "Your Patio Door Hurricane Panels Are Installed" 

 

 

Wide doorways
More than one set of Panel Channels® can be attached side-by-side to form a contiguous arrangement of storm panels for large door and/or window expanses.

Commerical Store Fronts
An unlimited number of Panel Channels® can be aligned to cover a series of commercial property windows and doors.
