"How To Install" the window hurricane panel side "Slide-In" protection kit:

1.  Install one "Panel Channel®" above the window opening to be protected.  (Detailed Step-by-Step instructions are included in all kits and are available for download at the bottom of this page)
     
2.  Install one "Panel Channel®" directly below the the window opening to be protected and the installed "Upper" track.   

3.  Purchase, size, and waterproof the hurricane panel to be installed over the window opening.  Use a circular saw to cut "peep holes" if desired.  

4.  Slide the prepared hurricane panel into the upper and lower tracks (channels) of the installed Panel Channels®.  The hurricane panel will slide between the channels from the left or right side of the installed tracks.  Center the hurricane panel in front of the window opening to be protected.   

5.  Secure the lower Panel Channel® to the hurricane panel:  Drill a 9/32 pilot hole in the hurricane panel using the hole in the center of the lower track as a template.  Use a 1/2" socket or open end wrench to tighten the 3/8" X 1 1/2" galvanized washer and lag bolt provided in the kit until the hurricane panel surface comes in contact with the edge of the track (channel).  "Your Window Hurricane Panel Is Now Installed"
